Changing Energy supplier & FIT Payments

Can anyone advise me please.
I am currently with BG and my FIT payments for my PV panels are registered with BG.
I am thinking of moving from BG to another energy supplier but I am uncertain what happens about my FIT payments. Do they stay with BG and I continue to receive my FIT payments from BG or are the FIT payments transferred to the new supplier?
Any advice would be appreciated

I was with EDF for energy supply and FITs payments. When I changed to SP, the FITs payments remained with EDF and the quarterly readings of the generation meter are sent to EDF.Can anyone advise me please.

The big six can now refuse to take on your FITs account if you get your energy from one of the other big six. They may not refuse, but they can if they want.
I'm only guessing here, but I assume that this new(ish) rule doesn't apply to moving your energy account (rather than moving your FITs account), but might be worth checking before you click enter on any decision.
So in Dave's case, had he tried to move the FITs (not the energy account) they could have said no, if they really wanted too.

So it seems that for an initial FIT application, you are now limited to using your current electricity supplier for FITs if your supplier is one of the big 6.
Once you've got a FiT account set up, you should be able to move FiT suppliers but apart from payment efficiency there is little incentive to move as the income amounts are the same.
Once you've got a FIT supply contract, you should be able to move suppliers for elec/gas but there is no need to move the FiT supplier as well.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0
