Having got myself into a right mess with the dreaded payday loans(6 with a total of over £2000:eek:)and making myself suicidal with stress,i am trying to pull myself out of the "it will sort itself out" spiral and start to take control of it.Have got the paperwork to open a new bank account, just need to find a professional to sign the i.d paperwork and fired off emails to every company offering £20 a month to each of them until i get myself sorted. Will probably get short shrift from them all but they wont get any more if i enter a DMP(couple of credit cards, overdraft and a doorstep loan which i can stay on top of after reviewing my finances and applying a few changes)so will see what they say.All emails as i get myself into a rage on the phone at my stupidity of having to deal with them and it gives me a record of dealings.Hope im doing the right thing by trying to sort it myself so any advice appreciated.Think im in the right place for this.:j

Hi
Yes you are in the ruight place because there are loads of people who use this ste who can give you some great advice.
If you post your SOA then we will be able to suggest ways to cut back and get your life back on track.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0 -
Hi there, sounds like you are making excellent first steps!
My OH got into massive trouble with payday loans and ended up depressed and skint, but 5 years later they are all paid off and he is well on his way to repairing his credit rating (oh and he met me, so everything is looking up :rotfl:) Things do change for the better if you work at them, and taking control is the way to start that process! Good for you
Posting your SOA would be a good way to get some more specific advice. Also, make sure if you do enter a DMP that you go with one of the free charities not a company that will take a percentage.Savings target: £25000/£25000
