DAS issue

Hi,
I have debt that were accumulated during a previous relationship. I have been paying these all myself since the seperation. In the last year I have become very unwell and had lots of time off from my job. I then was on SSP for the last few months. As a result I have fallen behind with my previously immaculate finances.
I have been on medication for a few months and strting to feel better and want to get back to work and sort out my situation so I can keep my home (even though my mortgage is in joint names with ex but I've been paying myself).
I was considering a DAS plan as my debts are around 13k and if I go back to work could make a contribution. My only concern is that my job is in financial services (mortgage advice) and worried a DAS would be frowned upon and I could end up losing my job and having to go down bankruptcy.
Can anyone offer advice? Would rather not have to discuss this with my employer for fear of dismissal at this stage.
Thanks
