10yr old Student Loan debt
I'm hoping someone can help me here...
I've just recieved a call from the Student Loans company claiming that I owe them over £4,000. I was actually under the belief that I had paid off my loan back in 2002. But she claims that the full amount was never settled. However I've never heard anything from them.
Wouldn't the missed payments have shown up in my credit report? What do I need to ask for as proof that there is actually a debt?
Cheers,
Bruce

Do you have any proof it was paid off ?
Ask for some proof you paid the loan off and maybe ask for a statement of payments (if they provide these)0
