Why not go to a fees free broker and see what they can offer you. Nothing to lose by getting them to check than just sticking with the Halifax.0

hi guys, thanks for helping. We were at the consultation yesterday and they have given us a written offer instantly (hopefully they shouldn't come back regarding any employment issues).
In the end i have gone for the 2yr 4.09% (no fees). The 3yr is 4.39%, but a fee of £995. I'll take a chance on the 2yrs and hope that the rates don't fly high.
Since we've gone with halifax, they said:-- No Solicitor fees (other than for adding my name to deeds)
- No Higher Lending charges
- £245 - MAF001 - a fixed rate of nil until the end of the term
- Free valuation (Already done!)
They said other than a slight delay in adding name to deeds, it should not take more than 3-4 weeks to do the whole process.
The valuation was done almost instantly via the web, so i don't think they need to do another survey, right?0
