Westons Solicitors Chasing

Hi I have gotten myself into a right old sorry state with a HSBC account - which had an overdraft of £500 and as soon as it went over the overdraft slightly they did not hesitate to send in debt collectors. Due to my sheer stupidity it has now gone to Westons.

This morning I had a letter from them which said call them up and they may consider reducing the debt from £600 to another figure.

But before it said that it said it would seek a County Court summons unless I paid in full before 16th May or I can start making payments.

If I make payments do I still get issued with a CCJ?

ps I mean Restons not Westons!

Should I call them - or is it advisable never to speak to them - only to write letters?

I could pay off quite a lump sum of it already.
