Mon: corned beef hash cost around £2 for 3 of us
Tue: jacket potato with cheese or tuna around £2
Wed: tuna pasta around 50p as we buy a large bag of pasta
Thur: mince and mash with boiled veg £3
Fri: Bacon and Egg with boiled rice or pasta (surprisingly yum) £1.40
Saturday : beans, noodles and egg on toast 50p
Sunday: meat with potatoes and veg £3
Sounds very filling and would take me a little over budget but i have a feeling thats going to happen now. I have taken the few things that weren't open got just over £8 back.0 -
Wow! Apart from the Fosters that shopping list sounds like an 8 year old went mad in the supermarket, not a grown up!
After my new year´s party there were loads of untouched soft and alcoholic drinks. which the supermarket allowed me to return and get money back. They didn´t accept a box of beer though, the cardboard was ripped even though all the beers were in there.0 -
Someone mentioned on the what and what not to buy at lidl thread, that they have 70% off their fruit and veg at the moment. You could always buy it up and freeze it.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

What about lentil casserole? I'll see if I can find a recipe for you if you're interested. Lidl do a huge bag of red lentils for 39p. This would easily make 8-10 portions of lentil casserole.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

was your husband unconsciously rebelling against stringent lifestyle?
hope you've been able to talk about it together?
do you both have some of your own money to do as you wish, even if it's a small amount?
then if he chooses to buy beer and swiss rolls with his money, it's his own business.
I'd find it impssible if I had to pool every penny with husband.
I found it was better to compromise and buy some crap / 'treat' food from supermarkets, as otherwise husband and kids would buy it at thrice the price from corner shops etc. because they felt deprived.
all the best for getting through the rest of the month.
Lidl food is excellent. Pilchards are oiy l fish - quite a strong taste, but cheap in tins. very nice with toms, eat with pasta or rice.
simple lentil soup ( just add onion, oil, garlic and lemon juice at the end ) is nice and very filling and costs pennies.0
