Mortgages.....

I am hoping somebody can give some advice?

the credit score on experian is really good 998 and all the BR accounts show as satisfied and last default date in 2007 which is the year of discharge - many letters/emails to sort though so some of the red circle thingys still show in the last 12 months ifykwim...on credit expert even though the actual date shows correctly.

does anyone know if that is something that would be looked at or would they go by the date recorded?

thank :)

As far as I know, while the BR is still on your credit file it will prove difficult to get a mortgage. Although I have been advised that some will consider your current financial state.
    BR - Dec 08
    Discharged - Dec 09

firstly..IGNORE the score you saw on experian etc its a figuree pulled from the air and means absolutley ZERO to a potential lender

While the bankrupcy sits on file for 6yrs it'll be difficult although not impossible to obtain advice about a mortgage

you'll need a decent deposit & try an independant broker as well...many threads on here about similar just do a search and have a read

Thanks for your replies......I went ahead and applied with YBS and they said that the files were good but unfortunately had been declined due to lack of Credit Traffic!!!! typical!!

They suggested getting another credit card to increase the traffic on my file......
