Have you thought about asking the council to put the council tax to 12 months rather then 10?

Your travel costs are a bit on the high side but, apart from that it's a classic case for a Debt Relief Order

It would just need a line to explain why you spend £200 per month on petrol. Other than that,

    Factsheet Debt relief orders

    £90 sorts it.

actually, just move a bit of the petrol to food & housekeeping as £80 is too low

Your rent is £750 and your partner doesn't contribute.....Can you clear that up please?

IF she isn't contributing then she really needs to start to, even if its a small amount being on maternity/paternity.
The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

4 people on the ignore list....Bliss!

It is tricky to kill off the mistakes of youth, this will take some time to get rid of

Lots of advice here so I will just add my best wishes that over time you manage to get things sorted.
On a practical level don't go near the shops -- you never need anything til you do Even for food I think it is often cheaper to shop online so that you are not tempted and try and shop every 8 days not 7 as it evens the weeks in the month up
    Good Luck
Try and do a good deed every day.

mmm. about a month perhaps. 6 years to get the credit file sorted maybe, or maybe not. Saw a credit file today where someone had got a Vanquis card one month after DRO finished.
