Robinson Way Limited not being helpful

My bank has forwarded my overdraft debt to Robinson Way Ltd.
I am not desputing the debt and wish to pay, however I am housebound and bank giro's are not an option.
;)The simplest way for me to pay is by Standing Order, RW, have said this method of payment is not generally excepted, If anyone has RW bank details I could set up the mandate myself.
:beer:Cheers.

Im no expert but im quite sure a creditor canot force you to pay by direct debit. They may prefer it for a number of reasons, but they can not force it upon you when you are offering to set up a standing order.
There are plenty of horror stories with creditors and direct debits out there.0 -

tought titties for them. if they want your money they will have to play ball and let you set one up.
tell them that otherwsie you will be reporting them to the oft for refusing reasonable offers of repayment
a direct debit with a scummy firm like RW would be a bad idea, they are more than likely to abuse it.0 -
:pI've requested their bank details, will have to wait and see what happens, I will post their details if and when I get them.0

OFT wont be able todo anything, they cant force a company to accept all payment methodsDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -
I had a Capquest letter recently that said if I want to pay by SO, to ask for a form and send it back to them once complete.
as far as I know, SOs go to the bank, as if sent to crapquest they then have your bank details to set up a DD without your permission should they want to.
Don't pay by cheque for the above reason also.
As suggested keep a copy of the letter, as I think that would be seen as unreasonable behaviour if they ever took you to court for none payment.:beer:0 -
:rotfl:I've obtained RW's banking details myself in order to set up the standing order.
Have written to them with these details and have given them 7 days to object.
:TThanks anyway.0
