Getting a Mortgage

Hey, me and my boyfriend are looking to get a mortgage on a house together this summer. He has inheritance for a deposit from his grandparents, however I have bad credit.
Is it possible to put down both our wages on a mortgage, yet only have it in his name?
Or is there another way that we'll be able to get a mortgage together?
Thank you for your help :)

No, it will have to be in his name alone. If the whole of the deposit is coming from him this should be what he does anyway.

You will also be a linked person on his credit check if you already sharing a house - which may be an issue even if its in his name alone.

If you not yet linked by address, stick to his name only.

Nope - me and my wife are linked as we live in the same house, we have not had any joint credit - and we rent.

OK - it may be because we are married so same sir name i guess - but i know others who are linked and not married with only the address in common. My Niece has had credit refused because her uni flat mate had bad credit - and the address was registered on their credit file, which came up when my niece was searched.

In which case they should have asked to be delinked, you cannot have your credit rating affected by someone you have no joint financial commitments with.My husband and I have only just become financially linked because of mortgage application, before that we have lived together 5 years been on electoral roll, had shared utility bills, council tax etc etc and not linked as we had no joint loans, bank account or credit card.

If address is the issue contact equifax experien etc and asked to be delinked
