Hope this is the place to post this.
Its for a friend of mine, she has a house (mortgaged) and b/f has a house, they are thinking of moving in together but not to sure of the consequences for her house. She will move into his property with the children and dogs. At the moment she claims IS and DLA as her youngest child has Cystic Fibrosis. She wants to rent out her house, who will she have to inform for the house and does she have to declare the rent. She will no longer be claiming IS but will claim DLA. She's a bit lost on this and hasn't made her mind up yet as to weather it all will be ok.

If she is going to let her property out she should -:
1. Tell her mortgage company
2. Change her buildings insurance to a landlords insurance policy
By law she has to inform the inland revenue about her rental income - she will be taxed on this income.two cannibals eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does this taste funny to you?" :T0
