If you look just behind your head, you'll see the point that went right your head.Graham_Devon wrote: »I wasn't.0 -

Bank of England. Figures published today are 800 up on last month. If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.0 -
The recovery is underway.
Are you sure about that wotsthat?
Or do you mean by that things have to get worse before they get better.0 -

Yes. Find yourself a graph of GDP vs time since 2008 - you might see a trend.shortchanged wrote: »Or do you mean by that things have to get worse before they get better.
No I don't mean that. I thought I was pretty clear to be honest - it's going to continue to be long, slow and volatile but I expect the trend to continue.0 -
Still stamp duty holiday influence in those figures. April will be more interesting.0

What trend do you mean?
Because the last 6 months have seen the UK go back into recession. So do you mean you see more of the same i.e more months of decline or have we bottomed out now and the only way is up from here?0 -

You've quite clearly not found a plot of GDP vs time since the start of the recession in 2008. If you had you would have seen the trend.
P.S. plotting GDP Q4 2011 and GDP Q1 2012, joining the two dots together isn't the best way to spot a trend.
Have a look here http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2009/nov/25/gdp-uk-1948-growth-economy
The UK economy looked to have started improving from Q3 2009. You'll note from the full table that there have been a number of minus quarterly figures - that's the volatility I talked about. You'll also note the graph is shallow - that's the slow recovery I mentioned.0 -

May I suggest you calm down chucky, instead of randomly making things up. it's starting to look as if whenever I post, various people come out of the woodwork to bark like a dog, make things up, twist and squirm, all because they don't like the data posted.
The data is the data. I realise some would prefer it kept hidden, unless positive, but, well, this is a forum, and you will come across people with different viewpoints to yours.
After all the doom mongering allegations you have made against me, to turn around and suggest I was expecting a recovery in 2 months (after being corrected just minutes ago on your first faux pas) is extremely poor, and whats more, shows all you are trying to do is twist, squrim, confuse and attack. God knows why, it's just data chucky.
I'm done with you now, as you will just bang on for pages with this nonsense.
Graham, question. Why do you bother with chucky? He's just not capable of a rational, civilised debate.
At least his grammar & punctuation seems a bit better, though the real test will come when he gets 'excited.'0 -
If you do want to discuss The thread how about asking yourself why the Devon bloke thinks an economic recovery will happen in 2 months?Graham, question. Why do you bother with chucky? He's just not capable of a rational, civilised debate.

Otherwise you're the 'person' who contributed nothing to the thread except showing his obsession with Chucky again. Do you want me to send you a poster of me so you can take down the one you have of Julian Cleary on your bedroom wall?0 -

He knows my weakness.
Make something up, suggest I've said it, ge me to argue I didn't. I cannot stand people simply making things up to win an argument.
He's still doing it now in response to you.0
