Unfortunately you have to buy them - haven't found a free site for that level of detail yet.

Not sure if other towns have similar???

This one "sort of" does it - but you have to enter the first letter(s) of the postcode eg. DY, GU etc http://www.freemaptools.com/uk-postcode-map.htm and it doesn't show any borders of the postcode areas unfortunately.

click on the '+' on the right hand side to bring up streets and so on..

Not a map but if your looking for a postcode for a particular address then Royal Mails Postcode Finder is very helpful.

is exactly what I was looking for to see the boundary of postcode districts (i.e. SN3) superimposed over a map showing towns and villages etc.
