I made bread this morning in the Panny. then after lunch made Pizza dough without even wiping it. But then washed everything after my tea,Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I did alot of baking at the weekend but had to wrestle all my non-stick bakeware off OH when he tried to put in in the dishwasher.
I just give it a wipe over to get any residue off then shove it back in the cupboard, nothing ever sticks and my tins last me years, the insides still look like new. He thinks I'm I right manky cow and that it needs to go in the DW after every use.
So am I manky?Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I give a "light" hand wash as I am a rubbish cook which means there are always bits that have dripped or burned or that have overflowed[STRIKE]Debt 2010 £74,000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Debt 2012 £42,000[/STRIKE] Debt Jan 2013 £38558 Baby boy born 19/05/20120

I wash by hand, but don't scrub. Wouldn't put in DW if I had one.0

But what about those little drips of yorky pud mix what always get welded on?
Ah, see, if you've never wash the tray they just wipe off, they only start to weld on when the tray is losing it's non-stickness
Thanks for your replies, i shall continue to sling my bakeware back in the cupboard and tell my OH to keep his OCD mitts off!Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Bit of a late reply, but I just give my bake tins a quick hand wash and dry - anything to make life easier is what I say!0

This is what I do, silicone included(no dishwasher here, or rather *I* am the dishwasher:)). It never occurred to me not to, tbh, and certainly I have to with the old metal baking tins, even when they've been lined with baking paper.0 -
I hand wash my tins and no sign of the non stick coming off. I make sure they are completely dry before storing them away. I would never put them in the dishwasher though.0
