Argos - Free £5 on £50 Spend/ £10 on £75 Spend

Just saw the guys in my local store put up these big posters 'Celebrate 2012'...

Spend £50 in Argos and get a £5 gift card, spend £75 (yes that's right spend 75 quid) and get a £10 gift card.

And no you don't get the gift cards when purchasing gift cards.

Oooh fab, thank you thatguy1, I've been looking for money off barstools I want.
I need 5 at £28.50 each.....looks like I need to order 3 and get £10 off the next two and that will give me £5 off something else later.....unless theres abetter way?

Just typical, I spent £60 last week but they don't have the items in stock again would have bought then returned with the older reciept due to already built the items

No, spend £150 you get a £10 voucher. Try doing separate transactions.

If you need to do things in seperate transactions, please let the cashier know right at the beginning, its a lot easier for both you and the cashier

I used to use Argos a lot. However, by any measure, they're expensive for many items. They're clearly desperate for sales to offer £20 on a £75 spend.

Hi, does anybody know from experience, if you buy something in Argos then return it as it's not suitable do you get to keep the gift card? or do they deduct it from the refund?
