Just saw the guys in my local store put up these big posters 'Celebrate 2012'...

Spend £50 in Argos and get a £5 gift card, spend £75 (yes that's right spend 75 quid) and get a £10 gift card.

And no you don't get the gift cards when purchasing gift cards. :)

Thanks to tintin2k2 on HUKD!

So, if you spend £150 on a single item do you get £20 in vouchers?

No, spend £150 you get a £10 voucher. Try doing separate transactions.

If you need to do things in seperate transactions, please let the cashier know right at the beginning, its a lot easier for both you and the cashier

I used to use Argos a lot. However, by any measure, they're expensive for many items. They're clearly desperate for sales to offer £20 on a £75 spend.

Hi, does anybody know from experience, if you buy something in Argos then return it as it's not suitable ;) do you get to keep the gift card? or do they deduct it from the refund?

    17. If all or some of the products are returned under the Argos 30-day money back guarantee, thereby reducing the value of the original transaction to a) less than £50 (in respect of transactions between £50-£99.99) or b) less than £75 (in respect of transactions over £75 or more), the free vouchers must be returned. If the voucher is not returned, the voucher amount will be deducted from the money refunded.
