I would stand your ground if I was you, I repeat you are only liable for the time you lived there, do not pay a debt that is not yours, demand a breakdown of the period you moved in up until you had a new account for the property. You must not pay for debts prior to moving in.

Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
