I have a problem with Lowell portfolio too at moment. I had a lot of debt which has now disappeared after the 6 year period stated for credit reference agencies. but now I have noticed just one default notice from Lowell portfolio on 2011..... I have never had any dealings or made any payments to Lowell portfolio. I know have Equifax dealing with this on my behalf as I have never had any credit since 2007/2008 so why has a default now cropped up in 2011????? any assistance would be appreciated thanx

You might want to start a new thread for this as you might be looked at as hijacking this one, but it sounds like Lowell's have bought a debt book with one of your old debts on it and have set up a new default to bring it back to relevancy.

Wait for contact from them in the form of a letter - don't give them any info if they call and request they deal with you in writing only - see what the first letter says and then you can send a prove-it letter. If the debt is that old I doubt they have the relevant documentation to make it enforceable
