That's where they make their money I'm afraid.
Don't let ths snowball. You need to pay it off now.
Sell stuff, borrow money from friends/family, cut back on anything you can. Just get rid of it.
Could you go intoa bit more detail on your situation, job/wage etc.? People might be able to give you a bit move advice then.0 -
Keep Calm is talking nonsense for this type of debt!
Others are right, sell anything, beg and borrow - get rid of this debt asap.
DMP are for real people in debt, you have just been stupid by the sounds of it.
Good luck, get out of debt with this company. If you try and enter any agreement they will just delay any decision making whilst adding lots of nasty 'extras' to your account.0 -
Loving PC Aston's post for his detective work
Well done Sir.0 -

please OP go and seek professional help to start a DMP
Yes, everyone has the right to express their opinion. Unfortunately, if your opinion is that it's wrong for companies to ask you to repay stuff at the rate you agreed, then it's unlikely to gather much support.
My advice would be to either sell some possessions (CDs, DVDs, TVs, unused bicycle that was bought with good intentions etc) or work out what you're paying for that you don't need (Sky TV, ultra fast broadband, 4.0 litre engine car, gym membership you don't use) and try and cut as much as that out.
When I was wanting to speed up my repayments to loans and credit cards I cancelled sky tv (saved about ¬£55/month), cancelled my gym membership (¬£35/month) and reduced my mobile contract (saved ¬£15/month). That was over ¬£100/month, which was an awful lot for me back then, it made a huge difference to the amount I ended up paying back. From £8,800 to £2,200 in 2 years.
Nearly there, just the 0% credit card to go!0 -
Really upsetting to see people posting their stupid and un-helpful comments on here.
People come on here with real concerns affecting their loves, just because your in a better financial situation doesn't mean you get to mock the decision of others, we ask you for help, if your not going to provide then i suggest you try a different kind of forum.
I'd suggest a DMP and say to the PDL company this is what your going to do, they usually prefer for you not to enter a pdl so they may be able to freeze the interest.0 -

People need to accept that this is an open forum, although many people have posted useful advice in this thread.
Are you seriously suggesting that a DMP is the answer for one PDL ?0 -
Until the OP comes back and tells us how much he owes we can only give generic advice.0

I somehow doubt the OP will come back with anything as not heard a peep from them since. Add to this the thread the OP started in december last year (which also went without a reply from the OP) and you come to 3 conclusions:
1. troll
2. the OP is referring to the same pdl, which will now be worth a small mortgage
3. the OP has made the same mistake (despite previous advice given here on MSE)
Either way they have started a good argument here! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
