Trying to start again

Hi,

Am looking for some advice.

Back in 2006 we entered into an IVA. That was completed last Dec and is now finished.

During the time of the IVA we were contract customers with O2 but because of my husband's job (Armed Forces) we had to cancel our contract as we moved overseas. We are now back in the UK but have been rejected by O2.

I have checked Experian, credit score is Good, Equifax rejected my bank card so I haven't been able to access it, although it is now being processed. (Nat West 'forgot' to change our address!)

I have current credit accounts which do not owe much and are being paid regularly.

What more can I do to convince O2 that they can trust me again?

Am getting very frustrated.

    Hi and welcome
My first thought is is there a reason for going with O2 specifically.

Secondly are you both on the electoral roll at the current address. Not being on it affects your credit score.

Possibly having no credit history for the last however long, is giving lenders pause.

Good luck with getting it sorted

Get O2 to tell you why you failed their assessment. They should tell you the main reason. Check your credit report with the agency they used and look for opportunities to strengthen your credit history. There will be advice on the CRA websites about this. There is also a great MSE guide here. Registering on the electoral roll should certainly help.
