When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!

Morning everyone! Happy May! Can't believe how quick this year is going!!! :(

Back at work today and didn't enjoy getting up this morning! Off out to a concert tonight (present) so I won't be able to study tonight... Starting to panic about exams no as I haven't done enough and only got a month to go!!

Morning! Thanks for being the early bird bt.

I am totally cream crackered this morning. I was up until 1.30 helping OH proof read his assignment (it's spelt wouldn't, not would'nt ;))

And as I rightly suspected, I didn't do any batch cooking. Am glad it gave dnms a chuckle though :p

However, I did get a lovely big shop from Asda. £66.06 (a bad sign surely after the £1666 cc statement?!) Loads of foods in the house now so today:

Charge phone in work (it's going now)

    Check onepoll (only 20p now!!!)

Loads more overtime (will try to leave by 7 tonight)

Lunch and dinner from stores (no excuse really!)

Check online banking. (am only expecting the £66.06 to come out.

Try to keep to my diet. It's not going well. Of course, dieting is ms because I'm eating less (at least in theory...)

Hope everyone has a good mse day :money:

    Hi everyone!

I feel like I have already done quite a lot today!

    Here is my list

    Check banking (done!)
    Clear Next balance(done!)
Drink water at work (must not buy diet coke - my weakness)
Send receipts for expenses to work
Eat food from my freezer for dinner
Do surveys - at £8.50 on Valued Opinions so almost there!
Update my MSE signature with my snowball technique I set up yesterday (already done, and I feel so good as I have a PLAN!)

Set up my virtual envelope app on phone for start of the month - this is my first day and I love the app. Fingers crossed it goes well!

Have a great day everyone, its dry up here in Scotland so hopefully this will spread down to you as opposed to the other way around!
