I now have a new car (renault clio) which does have a cd player installed, but i'd like my pioneer mp3 cd player installed which I had in my previous car.
Halfords charge £39.99 plus I also need to buy an attachment to install with, about £16 extra. Now I'm pretty sure I need to buy the attachment but i was wondering if anyone knew anywhere cheaper to do it, should I just phone round the local garages??
Cheers

Have a look in the yellow pages.
Car Audio fitters will charge about £20-£25 usually. The wiring adapters will be extra.
Only about 5-10 minute job.
It is a pretty easy job, you got any mates that know about cars??

This i sfrom the autoleads website, they make the adapters. You won't need a harness adapter for the wiring unless your model is one of the top 2.

I would try your alternative motorist discount centre for the adaptor/attachment - they are sure to be cheaper than Halford$. You could always try & fit the thing yourself - it's not as difficult as you may think. The normal problem encountered is the constant live/ignition live may be the wrong way round (resulting in the radio not swiching off when you remove your key & pre-set stations not being stored it the units memory.
If you need more details, PM me & I'll be happy to help.
