  • I think it is good advice and that you are over complicating matters.

For a straightforward case there is no need to check credit reports and no need to see an advisor.

Save deposit. Apply for mortgage. Job done.

    Your "advice" is not helping

The forum works by each giving their advice/experience. the OP then weighs up and decides for themself.

Okay, have requested the first two to be posted to me, and I'm looking at the Callcredit credit report online just now.

Daft question, what am I looking for??

All the accounts that are listed all have 0 OK listed in green on them. The two credit cards I have are showing that I have previously went over the credit limits, last time on one was Jan 2011, last time on the second was the same date.

There is a really old account listed, a HP agreement I had back in September 2004 for 2 years. Is that something that can be removed, or does it not matter that it's there?

Also, I got a bank loan last year, and paid it back a few days later (long story, family member gave me the cash instead). This shows on my file, does this 'harm' it in any way? Can or should this be removed?

Sorry if these are daft questions :o
Can't think of anything smart to put here...
