Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it.
I will wit and see what comes back from them but if they do rove that the debt is mine what would you offer as a settlement figure if the original debt was £1368?
Thanks again0 -
Service agreements dont have to be signed, by using the handset you agree to the terms. Op did you have an 02 contract? Ask o2 if its owed direct.
The advice above is flawed, as it relates to ccaDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -

I would still write to them. You say you weren't aware you owed anything so maybe you don't. OK so there's no signed contract but you need an explanation as to why they think you owe them this money. You can't argue your position if you don't know what the charges are for.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Even if there is no physical written signature there must be something which identifies you such as a direct debit mandate. I would still ask them for a full statement and proof that the debt is yours and also verify that you have lived at the address where the service has been delivered: It could be a stolen identity and the O2 contract you remember might not be the same one. So in conclusion you need information about the debt.0
