Just wondering if anyone knows if leeds do a full credit search for aip?
I think they do but can't remember what advisor said.
Thanks

As far as I can tell they do. We recently got an AIP from Leeds Building Society and on the day the mortgage advisor applied for the AIP Leeds did a 'Table 1 search' on my credit report for each of the addresses I put down. The following day they did a 'Table 2 Follow-Up search'.
From what I can tell from looking round, if they do a Table 1 search, that means they've done a full credit search.0 -

Thankyou
When you got your aip did they say anything about being a spec A? The advisor seemed to think this was a good thing but went over my head.
Just completed full application with them and apparently it'l take roughly 3 weeks. Lots of sleepless night to go!0 -

No, our advisor didn't mention any spec but I have a default on my credit report (from 5.5 years ago) so wouldn't expect to be a Spec A
Again, from what I've read and been told, once they make arrangements for the valuation to take place, you should be ok. I know what you mean about the sleepless nights though. I'm itching to get a decision one way or the other
Our full application went in on Friday morning and I got the form from the mortgage advisor to sign on Saturday so will be taking that in first thing Monday morning, but we've already got our solicitor appointed so even if it does take a few weeks it shouldn't hold anything up too much.0 -
Think were at about the same stage gaz so hopefully they will be quick with the underwriting.
Fingers crossed all going well we will be in our new first home on the 6th of June! Just want the mortgage decision back before i accidentally order a couch or a fridge or other big item lol.0 -

Yeah, sounds like itWe haven't got a target completion date yet but it's my birthday at the end of June so it'd be really nice to be in for then
I'm glad it's not just us looking at sofas and fridges hehe0 -
No your definetly not the only one. Its far too tempting to buy one the now however I would have nowhere to put a sofa if the mortgage is not approved!
Good luck on completing and I will keep an eye on ur posts for the good news!0 -
Thanks and the same goes to you
We have started window shopping and have a scrap book with all the stuff we want to buy (sad I know) but at least then we can prioritise what comes first)...also need to think about redecoration
