What do the credit reports say?
It could be shown as a default however after 2/3 months it would be harsh.
You have the reports so look at the mortgage account on there and post back.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. ok got my credit report from Experian and under my mortgage it states at the start:
ARRANGMENT
Start Date 01/11 End 5/11
then underneath it has the details under the heading:
Changes to Payment Terms
with the Date (4months!) and Monthly Amount
Not sure what this really means?0 -
Seems to indicate that from January to May 2011 you had an arrangement to pay the mortgage differing from the contractual terms.
Was this the period when you were overpaying to make up the arrears?
What numbers are shown on the report? 0 means no arrears, 1 means 1 month, 2 is 2 months etcI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. They are all 0's!
I under paid by £807 Nov-11 & Dec-11 then increased payment from £453 to £655 from Jan-11 to Apr-11 to get it back on track!
Where it states changes to the payment terms for those 4 months it lists the £453 under each month.0
