Motorcycle on HP

Not sure if this is the right page?
I currently own a motorcycle on hp and have 2years left, I need to sell the bike as I now have a car and now longer need it.
I owe more than the bike is worth.
Can I-
1,sell it privately keep the money and continue paying the finance
2,sell it privately give the money to the finance company and carry on with the remaining payment or will I have to pay off the rest aswell
3, is it illegal to sell it privately as its on HP?

3. Might be as it is not even yours to sell. It belongs to the HP Company. A bit like you coming round my house and trying to sell my car to someone.

Look at the agreement, if you have paid over half of the repayments, you should be able to hand it back and walk away

You might be able to sell the bike subject to settling the outstanding finance. Ask for a settlement figure and get a loan to fund the difference.

Many dealers will take your bike as part ex and add the cost of settlement to your car purchase. Maybe a bit late for you, as it appears you have already bought the car?
