Hello all,

Looking for some inspiration for decoration for the pew ends in church.

Anyone willing to share some photos of their inspiration?

Thanks

You could have bows in your colour scheme
You could even have organza bows
    Pomanders
you can buy buckets that go on the ends
you have buckets like these filled with flowers and using ribbon tie them to the ends of the pews http://www.michaeldark.co.uk/Category.aspx?categoryname=Decorative+Metal+Buckets

you can also get oasis clips and make your own flower arrangements

You could even make some cones and fill them with flowers
  • I havent got any pictures yet, but I've bought some wicker hearts I am going to thread them with Hessian and some artifical flowers and greenery.

Fingers crossed they come out ok!

We've made white tissue paper pom poms tied with silver organza ribbon to tie to the pew ends. Saved us £200+ in flowers and should brighten up the dark wooden pews a treat. I don't have a piccie of ours but they look like these:

Just wondering too, how do you attach organza bows and your paper decorations to the pew ends?

I followed the Martha Stewart tutorial here. The first two I made looked a bit odd (I cut the tips of the first one too flat, and the second one too pointy!) but after that they were brilliant - pretty much exactly like the pic I posted above.

Basically you concertina fold the tissue paper, cut the tips to make the 'petal' shape, secure the centre with florists wire and gently pull out the folds of tissue until it's all puffed out.

I then twisted the ends of the wire into a loop and tied a long piece of ribbon to that.

The ribbon then wraps around the end of the pew and you just tie a knot/bow to secure it. (And hope none of the child guests yank them off!)

The Martha Stewart website has some other aisle/pew decoration ideas here.
  • Those are absolutley stunning! Thanks for posting the tutorial have bookmarked it x

We used an idea similar to this .... http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/blog/diy-style-mason-jars. We bought shepherds crooks and also hanging tea light holders. The hooks were stood in cases to keep them stable and then the florist did a small simple bunch of flowers with ivy trailing down the shepherds crook.

    Also a few ideas here ... http://www.google.com/search?q=pew+markers+shepherds+hooks&hl=en&gbv=2&biw=1024&bih=672&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=H3CcT_TlEYWq8APfxvn0DQ

Dried lavender and gypsophila are beautiful on pew ends, and aren't expensive xx
