HI
I recently bought a bottle of Original Source foaming handwash from Home Bargains and when it was finished as I had some original source shower gel left offer from a magazine subscription ages ago, I decided to refill the bottle with it.
When I made the solution concentrated it wouldn't pump, so I kept diluting it down and found that if I diluted it about 1 to 10 with water it was as foamy if not more as the original.
I am now on to my Original Source deep soak bath foam Rose and Geranium bought from home Bargains for about 50p and I reckon there is a good 10 -12 bottles of liquid soap in 1 bottle of bath foam when diluted.
Lakeland Plastics do a handwash dispenser that foams up and uses much less soap - I reckon that this is like that- |I haven't tried it, but it costs £9.99!
Kids love it.

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to HB tomorrow and I'm definitely going to give it a try.0

I use cheap bubble bath in my empty carex pump bottle, nobodys noticed it`s not the good stuff.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0

I use Morrisons bettabuy handwash, but the pump dispenser throws out far too much in one go. I bought some of the ordinary morrisons stuff which has a better dispenser and when it's empty I'm just going to put the cheap stuff into that. I think the bettabuy stuff smells nicer too.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Am I reading this right - you can use shower gel as handwash? Can you use bath soak stuff this way too? I've just got rid of a load of bath soak thingies as I hardly have baths and I didn't think they did very well as shower gels - they were too runny!
Not too good for my money saving now is it! Well it was for my church's b&b fundraising so if someone has some good use of them and the money raised was useful so I don't feel too bad!"It is always the best policy to speak the truth-unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar." - Jerome K Jerome0 -
What a fab tip!
A huge bottle of value bubble bath costs about 50p or something - this is going to save loads of money!Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
I get the 5 litre foam bath from Macro for about £1.99, and use that in the hand dispenser - it takes about 5 years to get through a whole bottle.0

As far as I can see there is no reason why you can't use bubble bath - it's all soap.
The special thing about these foamer dispensers is because they foam the mix and squirt as a foam you can really dilute it.
The bubble bath I have got in at the moment is coming out a bit like shaving foam - good fun or maybe I need to grow up and /or get a life!!0 -
yes, and if you also want to be green, I use ecover washing up liquid as a hand soap...
it's really gentle, smells gorgeous, doesn't ravage my skin AND it's great for the environment. far cheaper than any soap especially 'green' ones like ecover etc.
another tip if you have it is to make it antibacterial by adding a few drops of tea tree oil and lavender oil... even better!

Word of warning. Tea tree oil is now so overused that we are beginning to see bacterial resistance developing. No real need for an antibacterial wash in most cases anyway. A good wash is usually fine.0 -
I use bubble bath, and dilute it a bit with water - if you don't I find its a bit too thick and harder to rinse off.0
