HI,
My OH is going to get a mortgage on his own as I have a poor credit rating. the only problem is his basic wage isn't much but he does regular overtime. Would a mortgage company still take into account my contribtion to the household income when deciding borrowing without me going on the mortgage and affecting the interest rate.

I do not think so, but I think you should seek advice of a Mortgage broker, there may be alternatives to add you to the application if the credit history is not too demaged0

You cannot exclude somebody from a mortgage application and then use their income.
What is your bad credit and from when? How much are you looking to borrow and what purchase price/valuation?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
