Anyone taken out a Northern Rock mortgage recently?

Hi - I was wondering if anyone had recently taken out a Northern Rock mortgage and what your experiences were, the affordability calculator on the website gives me a figure Im happy with but was wondering whether the amount stated would be anywhere near what they may offer..
..Also if you have how did you find the procedure with regards to timescales etc, thanks
