Work programme and signing off?

Just got a quick question about the work programme. If i were to become employed or self employed and i signed off jsa but then i become unemployed again after 8-12 months, would i then return to the work programme?
I understand that the work programme supports you for 2 years but is this only if you stay in employment for those 2 years?
Im assuming because if you make a new claim for jsa after 6 months then it would start from beginning again and wouldnt just continue from where you left off, am i right?

I think that you have two years before it goes back to the way it is, so if you signed on again before 2 years had passed then you'd go back on the WP.0

The two year stint on the Work Programme begins from the original referral: the clock is not reset on a new claim for JSAJust got a quick question about the work programme. Ok so as soon as i am referred from the jobcentre then the 2 years would start from there. If i signed off or found work just before i got referred then the 2 years wouldnt start and i would need to be signing on for another full year when making a new claim right?0

The reason i am asking this is because im trying to get an idea of how the whole system works, usually from what i have heard, when making a new claim for jsa then it starts from scratch but i guess in this instance that has changed.0

Once on the work programme if you sign off then sign back on within 2 years it's back to the wp. The jobcentre would just be for signing and using the jobpoints.0

Does it matter, if your wanting to sign off because you have found a new job or wanting to go SE then go and do it and give it your best shot.0 -
I believe if you sign off and sign on within 6 months, your claim would be "linked", i.e. treated like the same claim, and you would therefore be eligible for immediate referral to the Work Programme. Have a butcher's at the provider guidance on the DWP website for more info. http://www.dwp.gov.uk/supplying-dwp/what-we-buy/welfare-to-work-services/provider-guidance/work-programme-provider.shtmlOk so as soon as i am referred from the jobcentre then the 2 years would start from there.
