Job in finance - CCJ

A finance office in my town is hiring a great deal of people on a fixed term basis to deal with the admin/ case-filing on people who may be eligible to reclaim their PPI.
I have been asked to come along to an appointment next week but was told that a credit check and CRB would be done and failure of these could result in the employment being terminated.
Unfortunately I do have a CCJ from years ago which wasn't for a great deal of money, however still isn't settled.
I don't know whether to go next week and take my chance
Does anybody know how much this might affect my chances?
Thanks.

I went for a job in Edinburgh with a major bank as customer services and also was asked to attend an assessment/interview day for a similar PPI job yesterday.
On the bank position I passed everything except the credit check and was told I couldn't take the job on and I thought twice about the PPI job as they also wanted a credit check.
Unfortunately it will affect the outcome and if you have adverse credit, they won't hire you. That said, it may be worth a go if you're not sure about the state of your credit and the interview experience may be good?0
