Best Own Brand Razor?

Options
Hi Guys

Me and my partner have used gillette (venus/Fusion) forever and have never tried an own brand one. I want one that doesn't make me bleed like the disposible ones.

Anyone have any experiance of the own brand ones, I live near every supermarket so can go wherever you reccommond.

Thanks guys

Have you tried a double edge razor? Mine was about £3 in boots and the blades cost about £1.50 for ten. It's one of the best shaves I have ever had.

Wilkinson Sword are cheaper to buy than Gillettes - I used to use a Quattro and the shaves I got were very good.

Like Slayfield I now use a DE razor. It's good but it can take a while to get used to it as the technique you need is quite different to a razor with a pivoting head.

Have a look on Shaving Shack if you decide on double edge razors, they used to do 30 blades for about £5.99 though prices may have gone up recently. Unfortunately, there's only free delivery if you spend over £40 though, so you may want to try else where first if you want to try them out. Delivery at Shaving Shack is £3 otherwise.

You may need to be careful when using double edge razors for first the time though apparently they are easy to use once you get used to them. I have to say, I've not actually tried them myself, so can't really comment.

Shaving Shack is also on Amazon by the way, you might want to check there as well. Last time I looked there were other sellers on Amazon selling double edge razors as well. Just do a search and see what comes up.

Just had a quick look on Shaving Shack, you can currently get 30 x Lord Super Chrome Double Edged Razor Blades for £6.99 (23p/blade), boots blades appear to be cheaper at 15p/blade.

You might want to have a look at mantic59's shaving techniques on YouTube as well.
