Mortgage Lenders who don't use Equifax??

Hi,

I just got my full credit report from CheckMyFile and my CallCredit/Experian scores are 740 out of 1000. But the Equifax score is down at 185 !!!

I have one Court judgement (which I was never aware of) for £1003 but this was 7 years ago and it says it will be removed from file Nov 2012.

Other than this there are no black marks at all.

I read somewhere that Skipton Building Society only uses CallCredit and Experian but I think the source I was reading from was several years old.

Can anyone clarify this for me.

Many thanks,

Dave :money:

A CCJ should only remain on your file for 6 years so you may want to look into this and get it removed.

Aside from that, almost every lender now uses a combination of the Experian & Equifax although they do use at different stages of the application/offer process..

    Good luck

What was the date on the CCJ? It should be removed from your report after 6 years. Is it satisfied? Some lenders will ignore an old satisfied CCJ for a low amount. If you were never aware of it you can get it set aside by asking the court.

If you want a mortgage this side of November then ask a broker for assistance.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

We don't provide credit history data to Check my file so any summary they provide of your Experian report will be a bit misleading.
