Freezing houmous

Have just made a ridiculous amount of houmous, considering there's only 4 of us, didn't quite realise just how far one tin of chick peas could go!
Was therefore thinking about freezing it in a couple of tubs / ice cube trays ... has anyone frozen houmous before and what were the results? It will take me at least five weeks to eat the amount I made, by which time I will have to throw out the rest of the jar of tahini paste, so I need to make even more houmous more before the tahini paste needs binning!
Advice gratefully received!!!
