how do the CSA get your address????

right long story short, ex husband left almost 3 years ago, the stereotypical younger woman. We agreed on shared custody during the divorce, and Ive never asked for maintenence cos of the shared custody, despite thinking about it once or twice. He moved onto another relationship and they had a child together. She's almost 1 now.
They split a few weeks ago and hes moved back to his parents which she knows as shes been to see him there, drop their child off there etc. She was there just last week for their little one to see my daughter for her birthday.
So, I get home yesterday and theres a letter on the floor all i could see was my address in the window so I automatically open it. I then find its a letter from the CSA saying that my ex husbands ex girlfriend has put in a claim for maintenence via them.
The thing that is annoying me is why the letter was sent to my address!!! Upon opening it, it is addressed to him. The only way I can think of them having got this address is for her to have given it to them. This is my home with the kids, it is nothing to do with him, he has never, and will never live in this house, there is more chance of hell freezing over than of me even considering taking him back. But im guessing thats what she thinks is happening, and I know thats what he wants despite the divorce.
Im just livid as hell that she/he/they are trying to drag me into whatever games theyre trying to play. this is a woman who refused to have anything to do with me at all, wouldnt even speak to me, if she was with him when he collected the kids they'd park round the corner from my house. She was the other woman, in my house before i'd moved out but as far as she was concerned i was the bad person lol.
Ive sent it back to the CSA agency with a note inside saying he doesnt live at this address, but i was tempted to post it to her without a stamp and with a note saying to leave me out of her silly games, that she knows damn well he doesnt live here and for the record will never live here, but i dont need to justify myself to her or lower myself to her level.
I just wanted to clarify if that really would be how they got my address-from her????

Has he ever lived there? The PWC in the case might have named your address as his current residency, however they will then check Government databases and also check experian or an equivalent to see where he has had bank accounts registered to in the past.0

Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

by debt yes unfortunately
im currently saving to go bankrupt thanks to the level of debt he got us into. But if shes put in the application surely she should have told them hes living at his parents and given them that address, she knows where he is!!! oh well, I guess theres not a lot more i can do, its gone back to them.

He could have told her that he was only visiting with his parents but that he was moving in with you. Don't get mad at her until you know the facts.
Send the letter back to the CSA and give them his parents' address.0 -
shared care - if truly shared he should be sharing costs and therefore I agree maintenence should not be paid however if he suddenly has a CSA case opened against him you may find that as you do not have a csa case open for your two children that the CSA do not recognise that he has "costs" for them in leiu of maintenence. You may have to open a case for your two cildren to ensure his responsibility to your two children is recognised hope that makes sense - it does in my head but unsure it does now i have written it down0
