Where can I buy good quality Nougat?

Having watched the Hairy Bikers programme last night, where they made a stop in Montelimar to sample Nougat, my other half said- That's one thing I haven't eaten in ages. Wouldn't mind eating some again. Can I find any ? Anyone know if any food or sweet shop does it? Would love to get some.

Lidl - it's a bit hit or miss but Lidl do the most amazing nougat and this nut bar thing, I think it is Greek for some strange and my local Lidl don't get it in very often, when they do I buy 6 bars at a time!

TK Maxx. Ditto on the hit and miss as to whether they have any, but I picked up a box for xmas and it was raved about.

Do you get Italian markets nearby? I have seen some there - rather expensive at £20 a kilo though!! Needless to say, I have never tried it, but it looks and smells wonderful.

someone has just posted up Lidl's offers from 3rd May on this thread/forum whatever you call it! All French produce including nougat - just for you! If it is the stuff I've bought from Lidl is is fantastic.

The Lidl one is great and can often be aloso found in small grocers, not necessarily Greek, try Indian and Italian ones too - also try their peanut or hazelnut brittles while you are there!

However, different sort of nougat but enjoyable; tyr the bags of soft nougats in 99p or £1 stores
