Re Mortgage Advice

Options
My current 2 year tracker rate is due to expire in the next four months.

The outstanding balance is £49k (repayment period of 9 years).

Simply I’m not sure whether to continue with a tracker mortgage or change to a fixed mortgage. Also what period I should lock in for.

Thanks for any help/advice

We cant give specific advice on here (so tie in periods and whether its best to move or not we cant do).

    What do you want?
Do you want a rate that can go up or down but will probably cost less over the term (better if you want to budget). Or would you prefer to risk that rates can change but you have the potential to save some money.

Bare in mind that most fix rate mortgage will have an upfront fee or higher rates you need to factor that into any decision you make.

It could be worth doing some research on whats available - either yourself or via a broker and then you can atleast make an informed decision on whats available compared to what you have now.
