    Many lenders do not like the deposit coming from a loan. Santander are ok with it but jesus... I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.

    Construction? High rise? Floor your flat occupies? (as in 4/10).

    Its a maisonette flat over over 2 floors its not in a high rise but its one of 5 flats over 2 floors with shops being at the bottom.. construction wise its made from standard material i guess...renting it will be a doodle for me its 2 mins away from a tube stn

    Being a flat above commercial premises will exclude many lenders.

    How much would you expect it to bring in each month in rent?

    Is this true? I thought no lender would take a loan as a deposit.

    I second not touching Santander as a lender, if the practice above is actually true it goes to show how stupid they are.

    For a 2 bedroom flat i would say £800 a month thats cheap for london its absolute madness here
