Remortgage redemption figure clear up qu's

Hi, currently moving from Natwest to HSBC and had an email off HSBCs solicitor saying there is £1450 I need to pay to cover differences.

Looking at the schedule I have from taking mortgage out in 2010, at start of year 3 (i.e this month) capital should be X but the redemption figure is near £700 above this. (I realise I do owe them £800 more than I asked for) Ive not missed payments so why should it be so far off?

Rang Natwest and they are going to look at figures and ring back.

Solicitors want money by 27th to complete on 30th so my time is limited.

Anybody know why there would be such difference?

  • Did you add any fees on at the start of the mortgage?

Ah like solicitor fees? Yes come to think of it! About the amount I'm talking about too. Well done I will check what I added on when I get home.

    Thanks for reply
