Can anyone recommend any good websites where you can ask and receive advice on dog related health problems/conditions.
Thankyou.

What type of pet do you want advice about?
I can recommend an excellent reptile vet who will give advice online where possible but I think you'll be hard pushed to find one for general pet enquiries. There are plenty of forum based sites on the net for animal lovers/owners so a quick search should throw up plenty of options.
It's very important to remember though that if your animal is sick then it needs to be examined and treated by a vet and nobody can diagnose or offer treatment over the internet in such cases, not even a vet (not that they would!)
However, if you're just looking for general advice and discussion with other pet owners then there's plenty of places out there

Hi, I can't personally recommend a dog forum but if you do a search in google I'm sure you'd find quite a few, and often breed related too. The best thing to do is lurk around and read some of the messages to see if it's the type of place you feel would benefit you.
BTW, my warning wasn't just directed at you, but also to anyone else who might be reading, as I've come across scores of people who post online asking for advice on fairly serious medical matters when really should they be down the vets pronto, and are expecting someone to come up with the answers, as well as advise on a course of treatment, but it's just not possible to do over the internet. I've also come across situations where peoples' animals have died while they're waiting for someone to provide an answer in a forum, rather than go see their vet
On the other hand, these places are a great source of information for general advice on such as training, behaviour, where to locate good breeders/vets etc.
Good luck, and I hope you find what you want

Try http://www.denes.com/. They gave some very helpful advice for my dog including how to approach the fact that the vet was misdiagnosing a condition because he didn't believe it existed. They will of course recommend their products and they have lots of useful info sheets.
I would just add that they were spot on and after 18 months of unnecessary suffering we finally got the right treatment for our dog.
You could also use Google to assist in your search. I echo the sentiments above that you should seek hands on advice if it is appropriate.0 -
