Jessops - will they price-match?

Hi

I need some camera gear and would prefer to buy from Jessops as they're local and I can check lenses etc in the shop. However, they're more expensive than WarehouseExpress, who are more of an online and telephone order company. I'm just wondering whether to try and ask if they'll meet the same price. It's potentially for a lot of money (for me) and though I feel a bit guilty, I still want as good a deal as I can get.

Jessops are in deep trouble, according to last weeks business pages, might pay to hang on for a bit, if you get my drift....

Went today, ask for a price match. I was told they no longer price match.

Jessops currently do not price match, however in certain photographic magazines this month there should be ads to match 'any price in this magazine' type of thing, so might be worth doing some hunting.

Hmmm, thanks for the warning and advice folks, maybe I should look elsewhere.

Hi Sulumar - if you decide to shop with Jessops my experience is that the mail order side does price match:

"With regards to your email [...] If you can let me know which fitting that you are after and where and how much that you have seen the lens for then i can have a look and see if i can do a price match for you or what the best price is that i can do."

If what you're after is on their website why not use their 'contact us' page to see if they'll match whichever shop price is cheapest on Froogle.
