People tree goody bag

Mine arrived this morning, loved the quick delivery
Not impressed so much with my goody bag, its mostly a bit 'meh'.
1 - small handmade wicker(?) bag, don't think its a wash bag so maybe a makeup case?
2 - white high neck long sleeved shirt. Makes me look a bit Amish but might be good for work under a suit jacket.
3 - VERY short stripy brown/yellow/white skirt. Would have to wear leggings underneath but quite like it, its similar to the style of other skirts I have and a colour I wouldn't normally pick. Here - http://www.getethical.com/products/21239/nottinghamstripeskirt
4 - dark brown tunic style top with rope belt. Quite nice, almost long enough to wear as a dress so might attempt it with shorts or leggings.
5 - navy blue dress with red embroidery and short sleeves and pockets. Here - http://www.getethical.com/products/21133/bath_embroidered_dress
Love the colour and the style, definitely something I'd wear BUT it's MASSIVE. No way is this my size - I have almost 2 inches either side to spare. Such a shame.
Does anyone know if you can return one item or does it have to be all of them? I'd love to get the navy blue dress in the next size down.
Probably worth what I paid, and its nice to get clothes I wouldn't choose myself, my wardrobe is boring these days."Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -

You have to return all of them

You have to return the whole bag and they dont refund on goody bags, just exchange. I returned a goody bag a couple of months ago as the items were really disappointing. They sent a replacement bag, but it was exactly the same, so I returned again and for the 3rd time received the same blinking bag. I hear of such great deals, but Im not sure I can be bothered to risk oredering again.0

That's a shame, I'm ok with the other items just this one is too big! And big in the wrong places too, I can't grow a bigger bust or waist no matter how many cakes I eat

I think I'll contact them anyway and ask (or beg)."Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -
I got mine today too & I'm a bit meh as well!
The sizes are quite big - I asked for 14 and I have to say they're roomy. All my items were cotton apart from a bracelet which is the only thing I'm sure about keeping!- Thin white long sleeved t-shirt
- Grey long sleeved t-shirt with dark grey trims on collar and cuffs
- Black Indian print dress/tunic with matching tie/belt
- Black & white striped top with HUGE attached wrap material around shoulders ??
The stripey top is just madness! Not sure if I'm supposed to wrap it around my shoulders & tie it or wear it over my head too! There's nearly enough material to make another top out of it!
Don't think I'll send it back for another as that would mean extra P&P both ways. Have thought about putting stuff on Ebay as there is an older thread on here about these goody bags, but doesn't seem the ethical thing to do with these clothes. Though plenty of people seem to do it.
I'm suprised no-one has suggested swapping with each other before!
Catriona_P -what size are your items?
What does your Armish white shirt look like?0 -
Hi MissyLG, my items are a size 10. I've searched online for the white Amish shirt, took me ages but got there eventually! It looks a lot like this one:

Except the frill bib is more rounded."Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -

I'm intrigued about why re-selling on ebay doesn't seem like a good idea. I've bought a couple of goodie bags and had some items I didn't like/didn't suit me, so I was happy to sell them on ebay - just as I've been happy to buy PT stuff from ebay which is probably also from goodie bags. I don't expect to make much back (often put them on for £1-2 starting bids) but it seems daft to send stuff back that I like (as it's an all or nothing returns policy with the goodie bags) and not pass on the stuff I'm not keen on to someone who is

Well Betty, you are obviously an honest person.Over the last few days the new PT items I've checked on Ebay seem to be on for more than £1/£2 starting bids. I have no problem selling or indeed buying clothes on Ebay and this was indeed my initial thought. However, as PT is fairtrade & ethical I questioned the idea of making more money than I paid.
I'm fully aware that it's an all or nothing returns policy - hence my dilemma in what to do with the items I don't like/want.0 -

You could always donate any profit to a charity you consider to be deserving.0 -
Just as an aside, I had a quick look on ebay for PT clothes and saw some which were the same as the items I'd had in a goodie bag about 3 years ago, so either people are hanging on to things or PT has a lot of old stock to get rid of!0
