Hair protection from the sun

I'm going on holiday soon and find that even 1 week in the sun makes my hair so dry its like straw when I get back. I do try and wear a sun hat but as anyone any recommendations for a protection spray for hair in the sun ?

Think it's important to have your hair in great condition before you go. When I'm sitting sunbathing by the pool, I sit with conditioner over hair. Quick rinse off before swimming and reapply. Seems a palaver but it's the one thing I like about me and the sun dries it out to much. When I'm leaving the pool side, I rinse off and wear a hat. Even seen me sunbathing with a towel over my head :rotfl:4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Not sure if they still do it, but I use a Boots No 7 hair protector when it's sunny. It's called Sun Protection / Glossy Locks Hair Spritz.0

I used Korres Red Vine Suncare hair protector - a spray in sun protector. I have very thick, curly hair that goes very dry in the sun, and this gave me lovely, beach babe soft curls. It's a little bit expensive, but a little goes a long, long way!If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0
