Reclaiming Solicitors fees

Has anyone had any experience in a "law" firm cold calling and claiming to be able to reclaim solicitor fees upto £1000's when we bought our ex council house on a right to buy scheme, and the mortgage broker got their own solicitor arrangements done and fees put on mortgage. I haven't named the company cos I don't know if I am allowed. They said it was a "new thing". Also web address was "under construction". Please inform...

Did you pay thousands in solicitors fees?
