Moorcroft/Wescot Confusion

Hi guys,
DCA noob question.
Basically I have a few UK debts and I live abroad (in Europe). The address where I used to live has apparently been sent a nasty letter from Wescot threatening a "door collection" service for a bank overdraft I am already paying token amounts to via Moorcroft.
So I am confused.
Does this mean that Moorcroft (who have my present address...) has sold on the debt to another DCA, even though I am already in repayments with them? It doesn't seem to make sense to me.
And by "door collection" do they mean bailiffs? Surely they have to take me to court first? And I uh... am not in the UK...
I am tempted to ignore the letter and carry on with my token payments, as I have been doing and had no nasty letters sent to my ACTUAL address.
Good Idea/Bad Idea?
Also, any tips on how to deal with Wescot's bozos would be nice. I hear they like to use pretty brutal tactics.

What is the debt for ? It sounds to me like an unsecured debt so unless they got a court order they will be powerless debt collectors. Not sure about them selling on the debts, wouldn't surprise if they are actually the same company but different trading names.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
