Acenden/Capstone/Prefered

Hello

I have a mortgage with whats now called Acenden.
I am in arrears after I had a serious accident in 2009.

I would like to know if or how I can find out if I am owed PPI. The mortgage was taken out in 2007- I dont want to just ring them as I worry they will say you dont have PPI, then fob it off a something else you know?
Also- the mortgage is in another persons name but I havent seen him since 2009 and the people at Acenden are aware of this, could this cause problems when trying to reclaim?

also if anyone has any advice as to whether I could reclaim any charges due to my arrears feel free to help me lol!!

Thank you
