WANTED: Research Data on the effectiveness of Government Job Training Schemes!!!

Options
For me, this year marks 30 years of almost continued unemployment. I'm marking the event by writing a number of articles on being unemployment and in receipt of numerous welfare benefits. I also plan to write an article on how to fix various issues relating to the benefits systems.

Question: I'm looking for research material on how affective the numerous government employment training schemes have been? Does anyone know if any datasets exist? I'm also interested in finding out how much the government would save if, for example, they were to tax Council Tax Benefit, etc?

All research leads appreciated.
