No can't do that, plus they would probably take the account number and stuff from the cheque and try and take the money from that account
Anyone with any ideas how best to proceed ?0 -
Send them a postal order for whatever you can afford (I think you get these from the post officce?). Keep the receipt.
That way they have no account details or card details to purge.LBM July 2006. Debt free 01 Sept 12 .. :T

Postal order is the BEST one as above
I myself paid QQ via Direct Debit on a plan and have had no problems or comeback 6 months on, of course this was from a "secondary account" which only contained the money we agreed they would collect
I even kept all the paperwork should they dare try anything - and have some faith in the DD guarantee
I've come to the conclusion the account raids happen for a reason - normally it's where people try burying their heads and think they can get out of paying0 -
Thanks guys. I have sent them a few emails but details on who to pay anything to or where to send etc just a reply along the lines of payment overdue, please pay £175 etc
On the plus note I went to my first Gamblers Anonymous meeting yesterday0 -

I did wonder whether you were avoiding what the actual problem was and that was solving the gambling problem. It is very good you have gone to a meeting...you now need to stick at it and take on as much advice as possible

Yeah I have had my head in the sand about my gambling problem for long enough, best part of 7 years, but finally bit the bullet, this was the final straw of getting myself into a mess
They seem to be being a bit awkward though just saying please phone us or use live chat but have been advised to do everything via email, asked them for details to send a postal order but get the same response about phoning them and now Been asked to provide details of the debt management company I am using as I mentioned getting advice from cccs (only did some kind of online question thing, not spoke to anyone in person) So i dont have any details as I thought I could deal with this myself
Will i be best off setting up with a dmp company like cccs than doing it on my own guys ?0
